群馬県安中市の秋間梅林に建つリノベーションを経た古民家Akima Orchardにて展示を行います。

小西真奈による、悲劇的だが自然な死である「窓衝突」によって死んだ鳥を描いた一連のキャンバス油絵。クラッシュプロジェクトは、鳥類学と芸術のコラボレーションであり、鳥の美しさと家やその周囲との関係を維持しながら、キャンバス上の油絵を通して鳥を描きました。

This exhibition will be held at Akima Orchard, a renovated old house in Akima Plum Grove, Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture.

Mana Konishi’s series of oil on canvas paintings of birds killed by ‘window strikes’, (birds by collision with windows) The Crash project is a collaboration of art and ornithology… the birds were killed by flying into the windows at Annakaorchard then photographed by the owner. The objective of the Crash project was for the paintings to preserve the beauty of the birds and retain their relationship with the house and its surroundings.
